The world has changed rapidly in the past decade. We have experienced unprecedented advances that impact the way we live and work, all in a relatively short time span. Occasionally we need to step off the treadmill of life and take a look around to make sure we are on the right track. And when we stop and look at the world and the environments we live and work in today, we need to ask ourselves a few simple questions.

“How did we get to where we are?”

“Are we running technology, or is it running us?”

“Did we intentionally remove ourselves from nature and disconnect from the earth, or is that just a side effect of recent advancements?”

“And are these “advances” good?”

We may not know the answers to some of those questions, and we may not like them either, but they are important questions to ask.

Sixinch takes us on a journey - full of reflection, evolution trends and advances – and helps us understand how we got to where we are today, but more importantly, where we need to go in the future.

Today we are moving beyond environmental sustainability, towards a focus on human sustainability. But we need to go beyond that. To truly create a balanced, holistic experience we need to create “community sustainability”, solutions that encompass environmental, human, life style and place sustainability.
